Public Access Management Training

Public Access Training

Our public access training courses provide a simple and realistic option for managers and small business owners to advance their professional development.

Each half-day course provides practical skills, relevant knowledge and inspiring insights. They are aimed at level III, supervisory level, and each is supported by a comprehensive handbook.

To minimise expenses, we offer two courses per delivery date. Each is a discrete course in its own right - so delegates can elect to attend a morning session, or an afternoon session, or to attend both.

Training fees are only £99 per course, or £149 for those who wish to attend both courses that are offered in a single day.

Morning session (9:30 – 12:30):

Making Your Communications Work

Part of the ‘people problem’ is that we have different ways of communicating with each other.

In order to communicate effectively, we need to appreciate and understand these differences, adapting our responses dependent on the style that is being presented to us at any given time.

There are huge benefits to be had by achieving flexibility in your Communications Style.

These include:

  • It is practical, simple to apply, and quickly yields results
  • Build better relationships in all areas of your life
  • Develop a deeper appreciation of yourself and others
  • Make more appropriate recruitment decisions for specific roles
  • Increase your sphere of influence and personal impact
  • Allocate tasks to those who are more likely to do them well
  • Identify common ground to improve communication success-rates
  • Realise the benefits of behaviours that you may otherwise be judgemental of

You will gain insight into your preferred styles, plus practical steps for how to respond more effectively to others, in this practical and enlightening training session.

Afternoon session (1:30 – 4:30):

Practical Assertiveness Skills Training

Whether it be responding to unreasonable requests, uncooperative peers, demanding customers, or disagreeing with the Boss - assertiveness is an essential tool in the modern workplace.

This is even more true in today's environment, when businesses are becoming more 'modular'; involving increasing interactions with sole traders and small business owners - particularly if you are one.

  • Discover how to immediately increase your assertiveness
  • Gain a deeper understanding of others' behaviour
  • Practice how to develop and maintain assertive behaviours
  • Learn when it is OK to say, "No" - and how to do so assertively

You can negotiate more effectively and exert influence with those 'higher-up' - becoming more successful in achieving your goals.

Becoming more assertive will enable you to better handle negative emotions, stress, and the constantly changing working environment.

Discover how to react productively when others behave non-assertively - whether they are being aggressive or 'mouse-like'.
